Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses dedicated software to design truss systems for builders and end users and incorporates design to approve product lines sold by yard by performing the following duties:
- Interacts with customers and sales staff.
- Reads and interprets blueprints.
- Uses software to capture truss geometry and incorporates structured requirements of truss.
- Produces written quotes.
- Reviews final design and release to shop.
- Uses CSD Accounting software to produce order.
- Assists in answering incoming calls.
- Assists customers in facility.
- Sizes beams on demand.
- Participates in other various duties or daily activities.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to see color.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
