About the Role
The Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring that designated raw materials, WIP and finished goods are transported according to the instructions of the scheduling, purchasing and shipping departments.
Your Responsibilities
• Work in compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation;• Facilitate material movement between plants;• Inspect, according to ministry guidelines, all material handling equipment, tractor trailer or truck trailer in their care;• Ensure housekeeping standards are met within area's of responsibility;• Facilitate movement of material to Coatings suppliers and pickup material as scheduled on a daily basis from various suppliers as directed.• Manage E-Log requirements as mandated by Ontario government.• Ensure that all environmental requirements are identified and addressed when performing duties.• Ensure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties.• Comply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.• Provide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Dortec.• Provide support in the attainment of Dortec's operating system goals as outlined by the key graphs.• Carry out all duties focusing on the goal of internal and external customer satisfaction.• Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designate.

Your preferred qualifications
• Class AZ license is required with clean driving record.• A strong driving record as noted by the Ministry of Transportation is required;• Good oral communication skills are required;• Strong attention to detail is required;• Accommodations for disabilities in relation to the job selection process are available upon request.
