DESCRIPTION
The Treater Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of Aegis’ chemical product from our yard facility to the customer location. This position is also responsible for chemical treating of all scheduled wells and locations on a regular basis. The Treater Truck Driver is responsible for maintaining a treating schedule that provides our customers with the highest level of service possible. Approximately 10-20 hours of overtime per week may be required on a consistent basis for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Haul chemicals from Aegis yard facility to customer site;
- Chemical treating of all scheduled wells and locations on a regular basis;
- Keeping up with BHI and DOT documentation;
- Understanding container labeling and associated product hazards;
- Loads and unloads truck;
- Performs routine servicing and inspection of truck equipment and supplies;
- Driving a Company vehicle in compliance with FMCSA regulations;
- Handles special customer projects and work overtime as needed and;
- All other duties as assigned. SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work under pressure and to maintain efficiency and composure
- Ability to travel out to and navigate job sites for extended hours as business dictates with the ability to travel by means designated by Company (Air, Auto, Train, Boat, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and PC Skills and
- Needs little direction to complete tasks; can dictate degree of direction needed to complete tasks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience
- Previous oil and gas well treating experience
- At least three (3) years’ commercial driving experience with Tanker endorsement
- Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gauges
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. at any given time
- Ability to bend over 40-50 times per day
- Physical demands of the position including sitting, standing, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
- Ability to work in inclement weather
TRAVEL
This position requires daily local travel within assigned Company vehicle.
Skills Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience
- At least three (3) years commercial driving experience with Tanker endorsement
- Previous oil and gas well treating experience
- Experience operating forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gauges
- Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and PC skills
- Knowledge of BHI and DOT documentation and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Understanding container labeling and associated product hazards (hazmat awareness)
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs and perform frequent bending/climbing
- Ability to work in inclement weather and extended/overnight job-site hours
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal direction and travel to job sites as needed
