The Treasury Specialist supports the firm’s treasury operations by assisting with daily cash positioning, payment processing, banking administration, escrow transactions, and related financial reporting activities. This position works closely with the Treasury Manager and members of the Finance team to ensure banking transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with firm policies, approval requirements, and internal controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate ACH and wire payments through multiple banking platforms in accordance with firm policies, approval workflows, and internal control requirements.
  • Monitor bank account balances daily to ensure funds are sufficient to cover disbursements and operating needs.
  • Recommend fund transfers to management and set up approved transfers in banking software.
  • Review bank account activity for unusual, erroneous, or potentially fraudulent transactions; escalate issues as appropriate and coordinate resolution with banks and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation for payment activity, banking changes, fraud resolution, and other treasury transactions.
  • Assist with opening and closing bank accounts, establishing banking services, and maintaining authorized signatories.
  • Process the firm’s escrow transactions as requested, ensuring transactions are completed in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and applicable client fund requirements.
  • Provide backup support to the Treasury Analyst in managing the daily cash operations of the firm.
  • Support audit requests, bank confirmations, and other treasury-related documentation needs as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 2–4 years of relevant treasury, banking, accounting, or finance operations experience preferred.
  • Experience working with online banking platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Aderant and Chrome River preferred.
  • Strong understanding of treasury, banking, and accounting processes, including how relevant financial transactions are recorded and reported within the firm’s financial systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools; macro experience preferred.
  • Ability to work accurately with sensitive financial and banking information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, particularly in payment processing, bank account administration, and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to identify unusual activity, research variances, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and time-sensitive requests.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with Finance team members, firm personnel, banks, and other external parties.
  • Ability to translate general direction into specific, actionable tasks.

Skills Required
