Job Description Summary:

Cambridge Associates is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Treasury Specialist to support treasury operations across domestic and international entities. This is a high-visibility role responsible for supporting core cash management activities, payment execution, daily cash and balance reconciliations, recurring treasury reporting, cash forecasting support, banking operations, and audit support. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to operate accurately in a fast-paced environment.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to international regions, operating structures, and treasury processes across the firm’s global footprint. The Treasury Specialist will work closely with Treasury, Tax, Payroll, Accounting, IT, and external banking partners to support timely, well-controlled treasury processes. This role is well suited for someone who can work effectively within established guidance and procedures, while also operating independently when needed. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and accountable, with the ability to follow instructions carefully, exercise sound judgment, and build trust through consistent execution and follow-through.

Job Description:

Cash Management and Treasury Operations

  • Support daily cash management activities across domestic and international entities.
  • Monitor cash balances and help maintain appropriate global cash reserves.
  • Prepare and distribute recurring cash reporting, including daily cash activity and related treasury metrics.
  • Support daily, weekly, and annual cash forecasting processes.

Payments and Banking Administration

  • Initiate and support electronic payments through the firm’s banking platforms.
  • Apply knowledge of U.S. and international payment types, formats, and related processing requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal partners, including IT, to maintain payment interfaces and support payment file uploads.
  • Assist with bank account administration, including account openings, signatory updates, and related documentation.
  • Research and resolve banking transactions and payment-related inquiries as needed.

Reconciliations, Audit, and Transaction Support

  • Reconcile daily cash balances and activity across bank accounts and legal entities.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies, outstanding items, and other cash-related breaks in a timely manner.
  • Support the preparation of journal entries for certain treasury-related transactions and cash movements, as needed.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to help ensure treasury activity is reflected accurately.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and assisting with treasury-related support materials.

Controls and Process Improvement

  • Assist in documenting and maintaining treasury procedures and internal controls.
  • Support efforts to improve treasury workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Help identify process gaps and contribute to practical enhancements in treasury operations.

Relationship Management and Cross-Functional Support

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with banking partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc treasury analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Assist with preparation of treasury-related information for internal reporting and other stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant treasury, cash management, finance, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and international payment types and treasury operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid Microsoft Word proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-visibility environment.
  • Strong communication, judgment, accountability, and ability to work both independently and within established guidance.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
