Job Summary
The Treasury Payments Consultant is a business development-focused role responsible for driving payment revenue growth for Dacotah Bank. This position plays a key role in enhancing the bank's business credit card portfolio, generating new sales, increasing card volume and usage, and ensuring profitability while growing market share. The consultant will also drive referrals for all treasury products and services, ensuring that clients receive a high level of customer service throughout the entire sales process.

Business Development & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive growth in business credit card sales by acquiring new customers and increasing usage among existing customers.
  • Work closely with clients to identify and tailor solutions to meet their payment needs, ensuring that Dacotah Bank’s products and services are positioned effectively.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs for business credit cards, treasury services, and related products.

Sales & Market Penetration:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance market penetration for business credit cards, ensuring new account acquisition and a significant increase in card volume and usage.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional treasury services to new and existing clients.
  • Maintain and grow a strong sales pipeline by prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing customer relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients, demonstrating the value of Dacotah Bank’s payment products and services.

Customer Service & Relationship Management:

  • Ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales cycle by providing high-quality service and responding promptly to inquiries.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing solutions that enhance their payment processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address client needs, resolve issues, and ensure successful implementation of payment solutions.

Collaboration & Referrals:

  • Actively collaborate with other bank departments to generate referrals for all treasury products and services.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support promotional activities and campaigns designed to increase awareness of treasury and payment solutions.
  • Leverage relationships with existing customers to gather referrals and generate new leads.

Market Analysis & Competitor Insights:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market dynamics to ensure Dacotah Bank’s offerings remain competitive and relevant.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on market developments and customer preferences.

Reporting & Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and results in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular updates on sales progress, performance against targets, and competitive insights to management.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or treasury services, with a focus on payment solutions or business credit cards preferred. 
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of treasury services, business banking, and payment products.
    • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to analyze client needs and provide customized solutions.
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Other:
    • Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet sales goals and objectives.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
