We are looking for a hands-on Treasury Operations Specialist in London to support new trading entities and expanded product coverage. The immediate driver is the launch of our OTC exotics business, but the role will broaden over time: you will own the daily cash and collateral heartbeat across our accounts and counterparties and, alongside Trading, Corporate Strategy, Risk, Finance and Group Treasury, help make margin and liquidity a competitive advantage. You will be joining early enough to shape the process, tooling and vendor stack - not to inherit them.
You'll bring strong treasury operations experience from a financial markets environment, with practical knowledge of OTC derivatives and cash & collateral management. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who enjoys working close to the business and owns problems end-to-end.
The role sits within Finance and partners day-to-day with the business leads: the Equities Exotics trading desk and Corporate Strategy, both based in London. As the role evolves, it can extend to wider product coverage and a broader strategic mandate.
What you'll do
- Daily cash & collateral operations: Fund transfers across currencies, entities and custodians; issue and receive margin calls; validate and reconcile margin, collateral and P&L breaks with OTC counterparties, clearers and prime brokers, with particular focus on the OTC exotics book as it launches.
- Counterparty & account management: Maintain the bank, broker and clearer account inventory; open, close and troubleshoot accounts and SWIFT relationships; support counterparty exposure reporting.
- Liquidity & cash optimization: Report daily on the entity's liquid assets and unencumbered profile; partner with Group Treasury on cash reinvestment, collateral posting and cross-entity movements; produce stress liquidity and outflow projections.
- CSA / ISDA & collateral documentation: Provide the Treasury view on eligible collateral, margin timing, thresholds and haircuts in CSA, ISDA and PB documentation, partnering with Legal, Operations, Group Treasury and Trading across both BAU and new-entity build-out.
- Regulatory & control support: Support treasury-adjacent regulatory reporting and month-end / valuation controls in coordination with Finance.
- Margin & clearing analytics: Partner with Corporate Strategy and Risk on margin implications and clearing economics; support independent margin replication across the products we trade (exchange, bilateral, PB and repo), monitor account balances, fees and financing costs, and feed the global analytics initiative that informs clearing strategy.
- Automation & tooling: Partner with Tech and Group Treasury to move from manual to automated call and settlement workflows; evaluate and onboard external platforms (OSTTRA, Acadia, CloudMargin or similar) as we scale beyond a handful of counterparties.
Who you are
- 5-10 years' experience in treasury operations, cash, collateral and margin management, with direct experience across multiple product types - bilateral OTC (ideally including exotics), listed and cleared derivatives, repo and prime brokerage.
- Well-rounded understanding of how margin is calculated across those products (margin methodologies, underlying product knowledge) - not just how to process a call.
- Strong understanding of operational treasury processes - margin validation, payments, cash positioning, liquidity forecasting and controls - and the ability to translate them into collateral and reinvestment decisions.
- Track record of improving processes and tooling in partnership with Tech, rather than only running BAU.
- SWIFT and multi-currency payment fluency; strong analytical capability and comfort with AI adoption.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, comfortable operating calmly in a high-performance, time-critical environment.
- Control mindset and attention to detail, with the judgement to distinguish a rounding break from a real risk.
- Collaborative communicator, comfortable coordinating across Trading, Risk, Legal, Finance and external counterparties, with the instinct to drive issues to resolution rather than pass them along.
