Job Title: Treasury Officer
Job Type: Full Time/Hybrid
Level: Mid-Level
Purpose Statement
We are seeking an experienced Treasury Officer who will be responsible for supporting our day-to-day treasury operations, with a strong focus on cash-flow management, liquidity planning, fund allocation, banking operations, financial controls, and cash optimization. The role will ensure that the business has clear visibility into its cash position and that funds are efficiently allocated across lending activities, operational expenses, investments, partner obligations, and other business requirements. The ideal candidate should be analytical, highly detail-oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable working within a fast-paced fintech environment where cash movements, funding requirements, and business priorities can change rapidly.
Daily Cash & Liquidity Management: Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts, wallets, payment platforms, and other financial channels to ensure adequate liquidity for lending activities, settlements, operational expenses, and other obligations.
Cash-Flow Forecasting: Maintain short-, medium-, and long-term cash-flow forecasts, incorporating expected inflows, collections, disbursements, operating expenses, investments, repayments, and other financial commitments.
Cash-Flow Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve the timing and allocation of cash, reduce idle funds, optimize working capital, and improve the overall efficiency of CredPal's cash deployment.
Funding & Lending Support: Work closely with Finance, Credit, Collections, and Business teams to understand lending requirements and ensure adequate funding is available to support credit-card, installment-loan, and other lending activities.
Collections & Inflow Monitoring: Track expected collections and other material inflows against actual receipts, highlight significant variances, and support improved visibility into cash available for redeployment.
Banking Operations: Manage day-to-day relationships with banks and financial institutions, including account operations, transfers, placements, settlements, banking charges, transaction limits, and resolution of treasury-related issues.
Fund Allocation: Coordinate the movement and allocation of funds across accounts and business units based on approved priorities while ensuring appropriate approvals, documentation, and controls.
Investment & Surplus Cash Management: Support the placement of surplus liquidity in approved instruments, considering liquidity requirements, risk, tenor, yield, and counterparty exposure.
Foreign Exchange Management: Monitor foreign-currency requirements and exposures, support FX transactions, track applicable exchange rates, and identify opportunities to minimize unnecessary FX costs and exposure.
Treasury Cost Management: Monitor bank charges, financing costs, transaction fees, interest expenses, and other treasury-related costs, identifying opportunities for negotiation and optimization.
Reconciliation & Controls: Ensure treasury transactions are properly documented and reconciled and that movements of funds are supported by appropriate approvals and financial controls.
Treasury Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly treasury reports covering cash position, liquidity, expected inflows and outflows, funding requirements, investments, liabilities, and significant cash-flow variances.
Management Reporting: Provide Finance and Executive Management with timely insights on liquidity, cash utilization, funding gaps, treasury risks, and upcoming financial obligations to support decision-making.
Treasury Risk Management: Monitor liquidity, counterparty, interest-rate, concentration, settlement, and foreign-exchange risks and escalate material exposures appropriately.
Process Improvement & Automation: Work with Finance, Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to improve treasury processes, reporting, reconciliations, payment workflows, and automation.
Compliance: Ensure treasury activities comply with internal policies, approval limits, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable financial controls.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Credit, Collections, Operations, Product, Compliance, and senior management to ensure financial resources are aligned with business priorities.
