The Treasury Group at Bessemer Trust is looking for a Treasury Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of talented professionals to help manage the firm’s banking balance sheet and deposit activities, actively contribute to net interest income forecasts, and participate in corporate initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage banking assets, liquidity, interest rate risk, and liabilities and related compliance with regulatory capital ratios, internal policies, and pledging requirements
  • Perform daily monitoring of projected and actual deposit activity for two depository institutions
  • Propose and execute transactions required to adjust the allocation of banking assets and liabilities
  • Manage the daily projection and activity of each bank’s balance at the Federal Reserve Bank
  • Project stable deposit levels to determine maximum loan availability
  • Determine the amounts available to invest in the banks’ laddered fixed income portfolio and then work with Fixed Income investments team to develop proper allocation strategy and deployment
  • Develop appropriate assumptions for inclusion in the banking net interest income forecast
  • Prepare comprehensive banking schedules for Board of Directors meetings
  • Prepare recurring reports for Banking Committee meetings
  • Oversee and enhance production of daily, weekly, and monthly Treasury reports
  • As opportunities arise, coordinate with IT colleagues to obtain, analyze, and enhance data, reports and other tools
  • Perform required maintenance for each bank’s line of credit with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York
  • Focus on refining policies and enhancing internal operations to improve efficiency and controls
  • Create ad hoc reports for senior management, as requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study
  • 7+ years of treasury, asset and liability management, or banking experience
  • Strong knowledge of bank balance sheet management, regulatory capital frameworks, and liquidity regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and forecasting
  • Proven ability to work independently, be resourceful in solving problems, and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet required deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, which will be required to interact with numerous colleagues and groups across the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Shows tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation
  • Able to work overtime sometimes with short notice

The base salary range for this position is $125K - $175K. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role.  It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.

In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive-based bonus based on individual and company performance.


Eligible employees may participate in a 401 (K) program with a company profit sharing contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability covering and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
