This role helps ensure DTCC maintains a strong capital position to support its critical role in the financial markets, meet applicable regulatory expectations, and remain resilient under adverse scenarios.

This is a Director-level people leadership role within Treasury. The Director will manage and develop a team responsible for capital reporting, analytics, methodology support, governance documentation, and related Treasury initiatives. The role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring the ability to lead a team while remaining close to the details of capital analysis, executive reporting, methodology interpretation, and cross-functional execution.

The Director provides a critical bridge between capital data, regulatory and economic capital methodologies, financial resource management, and executive decision support. The role is responsible for helping Treasury leadership understand capital requirements, available financial resources, drivers of capital movement, scenario impacts, methodology changes, and opportunities to improve transparency, efficiency, and governance across the capital reporting and analytics framework.

This role supports Treasury leadership and partners closely with internal stakeholders across the CFO organization, Risk, Legal, Product Management, Technology, and external financial partners on matters related to capital structure, financial resource management, regulatory capital, corporate finance initiatives, and strategic transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for capital reporting, analytics, regulatory and economic capital calculations, methodology support, governance documentation, and related Treasury deliverables.

  • Perform and oversee regulatory and economic capital calculations, reporting, and analytics for DTCC and its regulated subsidiaries, including monitoring capital requirements against available financial resources.

  • Develop clear, executive-ready reporting that explains capital results, key drivers, trends, variances, emerging risks, and potential implications for senior management, governance forums, and the Board of Directors.

  • Support the preparation of capital-related materials for senior leadership, Board-level reporting, financial statements, and other governance forums, with a focus on translating complex capital concepts into clear business insights.

  • Maintain, enhance, and document regulatory and economic capital methodologies, calculation processes, assumptions, and governance materials, including capital policies, replenishment plans, procedures, and supporting documentation.

  • Analyze regulatory and methodology changes affecting DTCC’s capital resources, including requirements or standards related to Basel III / Basel IV, CPMI-IOSCO, and other applicable financial market infrastructure or banking-related capital frameworks.

  • Partner with FP&A, Financial Reporting & Accounting, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Product Management, and Technology to evaluate capital impacts of business activity, strategic initiatives, financing alternatives, and potential changes to DTCC’s financial resource profile.

  • Support capital forecasting, scenario analysis, and other forward-looking analytics that help Treasury leadership understand how business activity, market stress, regulatory change, or strategic decisions may affect DTCC’s capital position.

  • Facilitate model performance monitoring, annual model review and validation processes, and related governance activities for capital calculations and methodologies.

  • Identify opportunities to improve capital reporting processes, analytics, controls, automation, data quality, and technology enablement; partner with stakeholders to drive initiatives from issue identification through execution.

  • Evaluate costs, funding alternatives, capital structure considerations, and financing implications for corporate finance initiatives, strategic transactions, and other Treasury-led projects.

  • Develop, coach, and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, strong analytical discipline, clear communication, and continued professional growth.

  • Interact with external financial institutions and partners on corporate finance, liability management, banking relationship, and capital structure matters, as needed.

  • Operate seamlessly across levels of detail, moving from technical capital calculations and methodology analysis to executive-level messaging, presentation development, recommendation framing, and team leadership.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical capital concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Legal, Technology, Product Management, external financial partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
