We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Associate in our Boston office. This person will be a highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. This individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong communication, organizational, and financial skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Assistant Treasurer in the preparation of daily cash position and monthly projected cash flows
- Initiate wires for a variety of vehicles
- Notify property managers or Fund accountants of cash receipts
- Post prior day cash activity
- Assist in the preparation of documentation to open/close bank accounts and maintain authorized signatories
- Assist in maintenance bank reconciliation logs
- Assist with processing of positive pay transmissions to banks
- Work closely with Assistant Treasurer to continuously improve treasury processes
- Monitor bank fees for accuracy and make recommendations for savings as appropriate
- Support external audit requests
- Other various tasks and projects as needed
- Other duties as directed by the Treasurer
Qualifications and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background required
- 2-5 years of experience in treasury
- Treasury Management System (TMS) software experience and accounting (MRI or other ERP) software experience a plus
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all members of the organization
- Self-motivated, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast pace environment
- High level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate
Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment:
- The job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time
- Approximately 90% of this position’s duties require use of a computer
- Travel related to investor meetings and banking conferences
