Under close supervision, participate in the strategic, operational and logistical activities associated with business travel, business meetings and business related events. This position is to focus on customer service and satisfaction. The ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude is necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support various Travel & Meeting Planning projects, requests, tasks and activities
- Collaborate on strategies relevant to various Travel & Meeting Planning aspects; airline, rail, ground transportation, lodging, meeting/event space, meals, entertainment, audio-visual/technology, etc.
- Research challenges, troubleshoot potential concerns, and recognize opportunities for improvement
- Produce reports regarding spend, reconciliation/allocation, savings and cost avoidance
- Effectively communicate, collaborate, build and maintain positive relationships with associates, stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, etc.
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism management, or a related field
Experience
- Three (3) years related experience preferred
- One (1) year customer service experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with the standards, concepts, practices and procedures relevant to business travel; airline, ground transportation, lodging, meals, etc.
- Punctual, dependable and team player
- Polite, patient and uses calm demeanor interacting with others
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Discreet, ethical and committed to maintaining confidentiality
