What You’ll Do
As a Transport Monitor, you will help provide safe transportation and support patient movement, monitoring, and documentation within Erie programming.
Responsibilities:
- Transporting patients to and from referring agencies and scheduled appointments.
- Escorting patients as needed and monitoring patient movement into and out of the facility.
- Maintaining vehicles, including gas, oil changes, inspections, and general maintenance coordination.
- Maintaining daily logs and accurate documentation.
- Following facility rules, regulations, and policies.
- Assisting with patient intakes and orientation of new patients.
- Conducting patient drug screening and random room searches as assigned.
- Making telephone contact with employers, families, or friends to verify approved patient movement or furloughs.
- Dispensing authorized prescription medications to patients.
- Attending mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.

Requirements
What do we require?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record.
- CPR and First Aid training.
- Pass PA Criminal background check.
- Must pass PA Department of Corrections Clean Check.
What are the work conditions?
- Driving for long distances and sitting for extended periods.
- Mental demands include monitoring patients who have been incarcerated or are under parole/probation supervision.
- Mandatory staffing coverage may be required to maintain a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients.
