About the Role
The Transition Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the successful transition of services, projects, or new customers within Global Switch. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of the transition process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both internal stakeholders and external partners. The Transition Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and deliver transitions of projects, services, or customers, ensuring all contractual and operational requirements are met.
 - Develop and maintain comprehensive transition plans, timelines, and reporting for key stakeholders.
 - Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders throughout all stages of the transition process.
 - Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies associated with transitions, proactively proposing mitigation strategies.
 - Lead kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and transition closure sessions, providing clear and concise updates.
 - Ensure seamless handovers from transition to operational teams, defining clear acceptance criteria and documentation standards.
 - Collaborate closely with commercial, technical, and service operations teams to achieve smooth transitions.
 - Continuously evaluate and enhance transition processes and tools to support the organisation’s drive for excellence.

With a steady hand and a clear sense of direction, you guide teams through uncertainty, fostering confidence and alignment with the company’s mission.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a transition management, project management, or change management role, ideally within the data centre, IT, or technology environments.
 - Solid understanding of service management frameworks such as ITIL, with experience applying best practices in real-world scenarios.
 - Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
 - Excellent organisational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and business concepts to all organisational levels.
 - Experience in customer engagement and management, fostering strong, positive client relationships.
 - Confident in the use of modern productivity software and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.).
 - Professional, diplomatic, and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering outstanding results.
