The Role

 

Transactional Data Management Lead

Role Purpose

An outstanding opportunity to lead a world-class team within our Global Data Team at Lonza AG. You will be at the forefront of managing transactional data, defining initiatives, and collaborating with various collaborators to ensure data integrity and compliance. This role is pivotal in enabling and supporting our user community, monitoring data processes, and developing essential reports and dashboards for data quality review. Your contributions will play a crucial role in the full lifecycle management of transactional data, making an outstanding impact on our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the governance of business rules for transactional data.
  • Monitoring data quality and engaging with collaborators for follow-up.
  • Developing reports and dashboards for reviewing data quality.
  • Leading the transactional data team.
  • Handling mass-update requests from business and project teams.
  • Working together with data owners and collaborators to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with collaborators to understand their needs.
  • Establishing lifecycle management for transactional data.
  • Detailing all processes and data management procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in leading and managing a data team.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members in data governance and standard methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and standard methodologies.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining data quality dashboards and metrics.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (or similar tools) to develop reports and dashboards for data quality and business insights.
  • Ability to build relationships and understand collaborator needs regarding data processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain data governance policies and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient skills in recording business rules, governance policies, and data management procedures.
