A bit about the role …

Reporting to the Process Excellence Manager, the Training Specialist is responsible for collaboratively planning, designing and delivering high-quality training and onboarding programs, tools and documentation that enable our Fulfilment Centre (FC) teams to perform at their best.

You’ll partner closely with Operations leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain training standards, governance and document control across FC Operations. You’ll also support capability uplift through initiatives such as cross-training methods, external traineeship programmes, and the onboarding day for agency-to-ICONITE conversions.

What you will do..

  • Training program development
    • Design and create high-quality training and onboarding programs, materials, and resources used across FC Operations
    • Ensure training content remains up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices
    • Design content and develop existing and new training materials and tools
    • Lead the external traineeship programme to upskill the FC operations team
  • Delivery of training
    • Deliver engaging training sessions across in-person workshops, virtual training, and on-the-job coaching
    • Adapt training approaches to suit diverse audiences, learning styles, and accessibility needs
  • Documentation, governance, and continuous improvement
    • Develop and update FC operational documentation including SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and One Point Lessons (OPLs)
    • Ensure standardisation of training creation, ongoing updates, and version control
    • Implement and maintain document control and regular review cycles for all FC documentation
    • Review training materials with a focus on continuous improvement and operational consistency
  • Evaluation, reporting, and engagement
    • Maintain accurate training records and ensure accessibility for audits and internal reviews
    • Measure, assess, and report on training effectiveness and outcomes (completion, competency, quality, operational impact)
    • Gather feedback and share updates regularly across FC Operations
    • Support cyclical people processes with People & Culture (e.g. Must Knows, engagement/pulse surveys) and contribute to engagement actions
  • Stakeholder management & projects
    • Partner with key stakeholders across FC Operations and the wider business to align training initiatives with organisational goals
    • Support cross-functional projects that positively impact Fulfilment KPIs/SLAs, Delivery KPIs, and NPS
    • Build relationships with external vendors and coordinate support where required

What we are looking for..

  • Experience in a similar training / L&D / operations enablement role (ideally within FC/warehouse/operations environments)
  • Proven capability in developing and delivering adult learning programs (in-person, virtual, and on-the-job)
  • Experience documenting and training on operational processes, including SOPs/WIs/OPLs
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple initiatives end-to-end (needs analysis → design → delivery → evaluation)
  • Confidence in running training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and organisational requirements
  • Experience with e-learning design software and creating accessible learning content
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor style and messaging to different audiences
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and ability to build cross-functional partnerships
  • Comfortable working in a governed environment with training records, compliance reporting, and audit readiness
