Q2 is seeking a Training Specialist to join a team of primarily financial institution facing trainers. The primary role is to train new customers through their digital banking implementation to ensure a supportable understanding of the Q2platform and surrounding products which include ACH processing/reporting and Reg E dispute tracking. This role will also be responsible for developing and delivering in-person training and e-Learning content for Q2 customers and other Q2 employees on our products. This position will require a quick learner who can filter through a lot of information to determine exactly what is needed to create effective and relevant training.
A Typical Day:

  • Develops and delivers presentations, demonstrations, train-the-trainer, end user classes and specialized training courses on the Q2platform and surrounding products, including installation, configuration and maintenance of Q2's software solutions.
  • Delivers training using a variety of media and methods, including, but not limited to, instructor-led lecture and discussion, hands-on skills instruction, and various e-learning or distance-based options.
  • Develops and administers lab exercises, monitors participant progress, and answers questions.
  • Manages training event activities before, during and after course completion to ensure consistent and successful delivery. Coordinates training activities (room setup, travel arrangements, etc.) for all training events. Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of Training resources (environment, documentation, etc.).
  • Identify internal and external training needs by monitoring upcoming product releases and working with other teams including, but not limited to, Product Management, Development, and Release Management to identify training opportunities, necessary training content updates, and potential gaps in knowledge.
  • Design and develop innovative and engaging computer-based training for internal and external customers.
  • Serve as a professional member of the Training Team, contributing both ideas and expertise in the development of relevant, world class training efforts.
  • Represents Q2 in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Q2 security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to.

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, education, marketing, english and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience"
  • Banking industry experience strongly preferred.
  • A technological skillset typically considered intermediate to advanced with experience in basic Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with audio and video editing tools, Articulate, the Atlassian product suite, Salesforce and SharePoint preferred but not required.
  • Highly engaging facilitation skills and classroom management techniques to ensure effectiveness and accuracy in engaging audiences with diverse skill sets and learning needs. Possesses and understanding of principles of adult learning.
  • Ability to learn complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance.
  • Self-starting, driven and able to work autonomously; willingness to accept challenging projects
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to develop industry standard training sessions.
  • Individual must be willing and able to travel at least 25% of their work schedule. International travel may also be required.
