Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Required: B.S. / B.A. degree in Human Resources/ Training Field
  • Required: Training / education in development of training programs 
  • In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the required education, but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job may be considered.
  • Required: 3 to 5 years experience in a manufacturing setting.  
  • One year continuous work experience .
  • Experience in developing and presenting training programs.
  • Must have good problem solving skills and good computer skills.
  • Must work well with others.  
  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interpret technical data, processes, operating instruction and procedures.
  • Assesses training and development needs for the organization.
  • Develops and presents internal training programs, and sources and coordinates outside training resources using the most appropriate instructional methods and media.
  • Develops standard format PowerPoint presentations for consistency of supervisor presentations.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Oversees the administration of all training documentation / records ensuring standardization within Nascote.
  • Monitors on-the-job training activities for effectiveness in skill development (trainees and trainers).
  • Investigates availability and applies for training activity grants.
  • Oversees career development program.
  • Audits training activities and documentation.
  • Oversees college reimbursement process.
  • Provides guidance and resources for plant empowerment activities.
  • Facilitates and participates in task forces, problem solving teams, etc.
  • Supervises direct reports: Production Trainers.
  • Serves as a coach and resource for department trainers.
  • Completes documentation of activities as required.
  • Interfaces with and supports our Continuous Improvement group on Six Sigma and Standardized Work activities.
  • Supports all proficiency development / testing.
  • Assists in the administration of testing required for Job Opportunities (posting) process.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all employee related matters and information.
  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in department meetings.
  • Submits cost reduction and Innovation ideas.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
