- Required: B.S. / B.A. degree in Human Resources/ Training Field
- Required: Training / education in development of training programs
- In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the required education, but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job may be considered.
- Required: 3 to 5 years experience in a manufacturing setting.
- One year continuous work experience .
- Experience in developing and presenting training programs.
- Must have good problem solving skills and good computer skills.
- Must work well with others.
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interpret technical data, processes, operating instruction and procedures.
- Assesses training and development needs for the organization.
- Develops and presents internal training programs, and sources and coordinates outside training resources using the most appropriate instructional methods and media.
- Develops standard format PowerPoint presentations for consistency of supervisor presentations.
- Evaluates training effectiveness to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Oversees the administration of all training documentation / records ensuring standardization within Nascote.
- Monitors on-the-job training activities for effectiveness in skill development (trainees and trainers).
- Investigates availability and applies for training activity grants.
- Oversees career development program.
- Audits training activities and documentation.
- Oversees college reimbursement process.
- Provides guidance and resources for plant empowerment activities.
- Facilitates and participates in task forces, problem solving teams, etc.
- Supervises direct reports: Production Trainers.
- Serves as a coach and resource for department trainers.
- Completes documentation of activities as required.
- Interfaces with and supports our Continuous Improvement group on Six Sigma and Standardized Work activities.
- Supports all proficiency development / testing.
- Assists in the administration of testing required for Job Opportunities (posting) process.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all employee related matters and information.
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Participates in department meetings.
- Submits cost reduction and Innovation ideas.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
