AI x Innovation Jr Strategist / Traineeship (6 months)

Each project is first-of-its-kind, pushing the boundaries of how AI can unlock new growth for the companies shaping their industries.

This traineeship is designed for early-career talent eager to step into the world of AI x Innovation. Over six months, you’ll work directly on client projects while developing the skills needed to move into a full-time Junior AI Strategist role.

You’ll support and eventually take the lead on individual workstreams. Some days you’ll help shape an AI growth strategy for a global brand; other days you’ll design no-code prototypes, run AI-powered research, or support on client deliverables. 

You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team where ownership comes early. You’ll report to Nick Bogaert  and work closely with Robin Vermeulen  and Francis Verhoeven  on live client engagements. You’ll learn how AI strategy gets built from the inside: from first insights to final delivery.

• Be the voice of your work: you will not only build analysis but you will help present it.
• Take full ownership of key project deliverables and support broader client workstreams.
• Conduct AI-powered research to uncover insights, market patterns and growth opportunities
• Help design AI-driven tools, prototypes or workflows (often no-code)
• Translate complex problems into clear logic, structures and outputs
• Create slides, frameworks and deliverables that help clients make decisions
• Contribute to internal learning, experimentation and models that advance BOI’s AI offering
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who brings the right mindset, sharp thinking and the drive to learn fast.

• Curious about growth and AI:
  You’re motivated by how AI can reshape innovation, marketing and sales. You’ve already explored AI tools in your studies, internships or personal projects and you have experience with no-code AI tools beyond simple prompting, and coding experience is considered a strong advantage
• Early experience that shows potential:
  Some experience through studies, internships, a first role or personal projects in innovation, strategy, technology or AI is useful, but what matters most is your ability to learn quickly, structure problems and take ownership.
• Strong analytical and structured thinker:
  You approach problems with logic, clarity and attention to detail. You can prioritize well and make decisions based on data and sound reasoning.
• Hands-on and entrepreneurial:
  You like figuring things out, testing ideas and improving them. You feel comfortable in a dynamic environment and enjoy tackling new challenges.
• Collaborative and positive:
  You work well with others, communicate clearly and contribute to a constructive team culture.
• Educational background:
  A master’s degree in commercial engineering, economics, civil engineering, entrepreneurship or similar fields is a strong foundation. Start-up or entrepreneurial experience is equally valued.
