We’re seeking a Traffic, Tolling, and Revenue Project Manager to join our close-knit team of 50+ professionals known for our collaborative spirit and strong relationships—both internally and with our clients. This position is part of our national team, with team members based in Denver, Portland, and New York City. Candidates in these locations are preferred, though other U.S. Stantec office locations will be considered. And at Stantec, we value a hybrid work environment that combines in-person collaboration with remote flexibility. 

Your Opportunity

As a key member of our team, you’ll lead and support a variety of transportation projects that make a real impact. Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Lead transportation and revenue forecasting studies for toll roads / managed lanes. 

  • Coordinate team of experts in data analytics, traffic operations analysis and traffic engineering, and travel demand modeling,
  • Serve as Project Manager on transportation studies including facilitating relationships with clients, estimating and writing scopes of work, leading teams of professionals to deliver work within budget and schedules, and managing project controls such as financials, safety, and resources.
  • Actively participate and lead business development opportunities including contributing to written proposal efforts, client interviews, and representing the organization at professional conferences.
  • Participate in hiring, mentoring, and developing staff.
Qualifications

You’re passionate about creating safe, efficient, and equitable transportation systems. You bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or field relevant to traffic forecasting, transportation financing, or fee-based revenue analyses. A PE and/or PTOE license are a plus.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant technical experience, and minimum of 5 years in project management.
  • Strong understanding of transportation planning and forecasting, Traffic & Revenue studies, and/or transportation financing.
  • Demonstrated skill at project management and business development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for c-suite audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a field relevant to traffic forecasting, transportation financing, or fee-based revenue analysis
  • At least 12 years of relevant technical experience
  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • Strong understanding of transportation planning and forecasting, Traffic and Revenue studies, and/or transportation financing
  • Demonstrated project management and business development skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including translating technical findings for C-suite audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license
