Stanley Consultants is currently looking for a Traffic Studies/Planning Engineer for our DeBary, FL office.

What You Will Be Doing:

    • Project quality assurance and project team support; support of technical organization; and support of business development.
    • Participate in traffic studies related to strategic and growth initiatives. Assist with major project pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships
    • Support CSMs, with client outreach where appropriate.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients.
    • Lead Traffic Studies.
    • Draft and review scopes and fees for new projects.
    • Serve as  traffic studies lead on key department projects.
    • Recommend operating policies, standards, and procedures.
    • Support the Traffic Department Manager(s) and the Traffic and ITS Group Manager for various operational needs.
    • Perform other functions delegated by the Traffic and ITS Engineering Group Manager and/or Transportation Market Leader.

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
    • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
    • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or be able to obtain in a few months
    • Traffic Engineering experience, and/or planning, analysis and studies experience
    • Great written and oral communication skills
    • Safety Planning experience
    • Knowledge of engineering practices and procedures, including:

    • FHWA Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
    • Florida Design Manual (FDM)
    • FDOT Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM)

Skills Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
