CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Project Manager to join our Traffic & ITS Team in Columbia, SC. This is your opportunity to collaborate with industry experts, oversee impactful transportation initiatives, and advance your career while helping shape the future of transportation infrastructure throughout the region.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage Traffic & ITS transportation projects from development of project proposals through completion, delivering safe, resilient, and cost-effective solutions
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including scope, budget, and schedule, and serve as a primary client contact
  • Coordinate contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation with clients and subcontractors
  • Lead project financials, subcontractor payments, and monthly review meetings with operations
  • Develop project-specific health and safety plans and ensure QA/QC compliance as determined by the Quality Management Plan
  • Communicate updates clearly to clients, management, and project teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required, including 2 years of project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline in Traffic Studies Analysis and Signal Design with a proven ability to apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (MicroStation and Synchro version 10 or after) as well as Microsoft Office Suite and other management software
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-paced environment
  • Motivated self-starter who works well independently; adaptable, calm under pressure, and skilled in problem-solving and negotiation
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$115,000 - $145,000


Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.

Skills Required
