GrizzlyTrek is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) / Flaggers to support construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects throughout the Calgary to Banff corridor. This position requires daily travel to various job sites and applicants must have their own reliable transportation.The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic, ensuring the safety of workers, motorists, and the public while maintaining compliance with all traffic control regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
What You'll Do
- Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic through work zones.
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices and signage.
- Follow traffic control plans and site-specific safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and the public.
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust traffic control measures as required.
- Conduct safety inspections of traffic control equipment.
- Maintain a professional and safety-conscious presence at all times.
- Attend daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
What You Bring
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) / Flagger Certification (Mandatory).
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (Mandatory).
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel daily to project sites between Calgary and Banff.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous traffic control or road construction experience.
- First Aid Certification.
- Experience working on highway, municipal, or utility projects.
