BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency derivatives and spot trading while expanding into new markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!
What will you do?
Design & build: Develop new ultra-low latency components in Rust, optimised for speed, scalability, and robustness.
Optimise & scale: Enhance our existing trading infrastructure for maximum performance and reliability.
Own your work: Drive projects from concept to deployment. Your code will directly influence trading performance.
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with traders, quants, and fellow engineers to deliver state-of-the-art trading technology.
Innovate: Experiment with new ideas. Creativity is encouraged and rewarded.

Essential:
1+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on systems-level optimisation and awareness of hardware constraints
Proficiency in Rust (or C/C++ with the willingness to work primarily in Rust)
Experience with SQL
Solid understanding of distributed systems
Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset
Bonus points for:
Experience with Python
Familiarity with tools like Grafana, Kafka, and PostgreSQL
Understanding of WebSockets, compiler engineering, embedded programming, and/or systems security
