WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Trading Supervisor you will be first responder to incidents and responsible for seeing the problems through until they're resolved, all the while communicating updates to the relevant stakeholders and taking preventative action afterwards to ensure the issues do not reoccur. Having a decisive nature and problem-solving mindset are essential to succeeding in this line of work. 

You will be covering our Night Trading shift of 2am - 10am AEDT and have the following responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor our automated trading systems in various markets that we trade in
• Assess live trading for any issues (e.g. risk, compliance, production issues) and quickly respond to unusual behaviours or market conditions
• Working closely with risk managers and trading teams to alert key staff of any intraday trading issues and collaborating with Optiver's engineers, brokers, and exchanges to resolve problems in real time
• Documenting monitoring procedures and log production issues as they occur

WHO YOU ARE:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a trade monitoring, research, or similar role
• Prior trading experience highly desirable
• Comfortable working night shift
• An understanding of exchange-specific rules and procedures
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Excellent communication skills 
• Solid experience with high-frequency automated trading strategies will be preferred
• Experience with SQL, Python, and Linux will be preferred
