Flow Traders is looking for an experienced C++/Python engineer to join our growing development team in Hong Kong! The ideal candidate is curious, methodical and a multi-tasker. You will work on projects that are important to the APAC region including but not limited to improving our core connectivity and trading platform by writing efficient and performant code, automating core business workflows by working side-by-side with trading desks and other teams. You will gain broad exposure to the trading landscape and contribute where it matters.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement effective solutions
- Ensure a seamless integration of new applications and enhancements to the existing trading infrastructure
- Deliver core APAC roadmap items which require real-time and/or critical-path software, API services or ETL pipelines
- Own a set of related applications and work in tight, daily collaboration with business owner
What You Need to Succeed
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative fields
- Expertise in one or more programming languages: C++ (17/20), Python, Golang
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD pipelines, ETL processes and databases
- Latency-critical software development experience and DevOps practices are beneficial
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Eager to learn and apply a broad set of technical skills and financial markets knowledge
