Role Overview
PIMCO is seeking a senior Transaction Management leader to own and define the future‑state global transaction operating model across asset classes and regions. This role is accountable for designing standardized workflows, ownership boundaries, and control frameworks governing the full transaction lifecycle, as the firm advances its middle‑office and platform transformation.
This position builds on deep expertise in trade processing, confirmation, and settlement, but is deliberately distinct from daily production oversight. Instead, the role operates as a senior design authority and transformation partner, focused on workflow design, testing, and incorporation of current industry best practices into PIMCO’s target operating model.
Key Responsibilities
Own the design and governance of the end‑to‑end global transaction operating model, from trade capture through confirmation and settlement.
Define standardized workflows, ownership boundaries, and handoffs across front‑, middle‑, and back‑office functions.
Establish transaction‑level control design principles, including exception management, fail monitoring, and escalation frameworks.
Ensure consistent treatment of trade lifecycle events (e.g., allocations, amendments, confirmations, settlements, resets, novations, FX).
Lead transaction‑focused workstreams within platform modernization initiatives, ensuring systems reflect target‑state design rather than legacy processes.
Define transaction requirements for testing, parallel runs, and migration certification to support production readiness.
Act as a senior advisor to Trade Management leadership, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in global trade management, transaction processing, or settlement operations within asset management, investment banking, or prime brokerage environments.
Deep experience across multiple asset classes, including derivatives (OTC and listed), fixed income, and cash products.
Strong understanding of how transaction lifecycle events impact accounting, positions, P&L, performance, and risk.
Demonstrated experience defining or governing global operating models and control frameworks.
Proven ability to partner with Technology teams on workflow design, testing, and platform transformations.
Strong communication skills and comfort operating in complex, global, matrixed environments.
Salary Range: $ 137,500.00 - $ 195,000.00
