What You Will Do
The Trade Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of compliant cross-border trade activities, contributing to the accurate and timely movement of materials across international borders. The role supports day-to-day trade operations for international material movements, ensuring activities are performed in accordance with applicable trade regulations, customs requirements, and internal compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned import, export, and transit activities in accordance with established procedures and governance frameworks
- Support end‑to‑end movement of raw materials (RM), packaging materials (PM), finished goods (FG), and other dutiable or non‑dutiable materials, from material availability at origin through customs clearance and physical receipt at destination
- Prepare, validate, and maintain trade and customs documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with customs brokers and relevant service providers, supporting timely and compliant release of goods
- Support logistics hand‑offs across transportation providers, customs, and destination sites to ensure continuity of material flows
- Monitor trade execution status, identify routine issues, and escalate exceptions, delays, or compliance risks in line with defined escalation protocols
- Support monitoring of trade service provider performance, including documentation quality, service delivery, and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate trade execution data in ERP and trade‑related systems, supporting reporting, visibility, and audit readiness
- Respond to internal stakeholder inquiries related to trade execution status and documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying execution issues and process improvement opportunities
- Executes trade activities within defined procedures and authority limits
- Escalates compliance, execution, and service provider issues in accordance with governance frameworks
Team Leadership & People Management
- No direct people management responsibility
- Works collaboratively within the trade operations and supply chain teams
Budget & Financial Accountability
- No direct budget ownership
- Supports cost control through accurate execution, issue resolution, and service provider coordination
Stakeholder & External Interface
- Internal: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, Compliance, Planning
- External: Customs brokers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, export warehouse vendors, regulatory authorities (as required)
Key Decision Rights
- Executes trade activities within defined procedures and authority limits
- Escalates compliance, execution, and service provider issues in accordance with governance frameworks
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years experience in trade operations, international logistics, or customs coordination
- Adequate knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes
- Experience preparing or supporting trade documentation
- Language knowledge will be an added advantage – Korean, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and standard office tools

- 5–7 years of experience in trade operations, customs brokerage support, freight forwarding, or international logistics
- Working knowledge of customs clearance processes and trade documentation
- Exposure to cross‑border movements of materials or finished goods
