The Role: 

The Generate People and Culture team is on a mission to create an environment where Generators of all backgrounds can thrive and are enabled to contribute their best. We are seeking an exceptional Total Rewards Analyst to join our dynamic People and Culture team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards, this individual will play a pivotal role in supporting our Total Rewards Function, ensuring compensation and benefit programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical and curious with a proactive approach to learning and problem solving. This role is located in Somerville, MA (hybrid – 3 days per week) in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret compensation and benefits data to support decision-making processes.
    • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions
    • Conduct analyses on compensation, benefits utilization, and market trends.
    • Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure our Total Rewards programs are competitive within the industry.
  2. Compensation Administration:
    • Assist in the administration of salary structures and job evaluations, including benchmarking roles against market.
    • Support the annual salary review process, including data preparation, analysis, and communication.
    • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies related to compensation.
  3. Benefits Administration:
    • Participate in the administration of the 401(k) plan and wellness initiatives.
    • Conduct new employee benefit orientation.
    • Support annual benefits open enrollment process.
  4. Total Rewards Communication:
    • Assist in the creation of presentations, guides, and other resources to enhance understanding and engagement.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices in Total Rewards.
    • Work on a variety of ad hoc special projects as needed.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in compensation or benefits in a fast-paced environment, ideally in the Tech or Biotech industry. We will also consider motivated candidates with a Finance background who are interested in making a career shift to Total Rewards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy and privacy at all times
  • Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, delivering, and auditing work
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, or other related field highly preferred
