Token Listing Counsel

Job Summary

This is full-time and on-site job in Vienna, Austria. As Token Listing Counsel, you will play a critical role in advising on legal, regulatory, and risk-related aspects of listing digital tokens on our platform. This includes conducting due diligence, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and exchange policies. You will work cross-functionally with listing, compliance, business development, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on token listing matters, including regulatory classification, risk assessments, and jurisdictional considerations.
• Review and assess token listing applications for compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate token due diligence processes, including reviewing whitepapers, tokenomics, project structures, and legal opinions.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulators (as necessary) to address legal risks and support exchange licensing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate listing agreements and related documentation.
• Monitor global regulatory developments relating to digital assets and advise on potential impact to listing activities.
• Partner with internal teams (Compliance, BD, Risk, Product) to implement listing governance frameworks and procedures.
• Assist in shaping internal listing policies, protocols, and risk matrices.
• Support ongoing reviews or delistings of tokens based on evolving risks or compliance concerns.

Qualifications

• A degree in law (JD, LLB, or equivalent) and eligibility to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to fintech, blockchain, or digital assets.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, financial markets, or digital token offerings is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of global crypto regulations, securities laws, and regulatory bodies (e.g., SEC, MiCA, MAS, etc.).
• Excellent communication, legal writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience working in a crypto exchange, law firm, or fintech company.
• Familiarity with tokenomics, smart contracts, and decentralized protocols.
• Multilingual capabilities a plus.
