Here is how the Title Analyst I/II/III/IV role will impact our business:
The Title Analyst is responsible for the efficient, effective review and interpretation of title abstracts, certified title opinions, stand-up title opinions, and related documents to synthesize findings and curative actions that are clear, concise, and consistent with company policies and procedures while entering the same into the company's system(s). These efforts could relate to well clearing, payment clearing, turn-in-line preparations, owner inquiries, litigation needs, and/or general title inquiries.
The Title Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clearly and concisely communicates ownership and curative analyses to variety of customers inside the company.
- Maintains confidentiality in the handling of all business activities.
- Understands priorities and deadlines as conveyed by Manager or Title Analyst III/IV and effectively executes, with periodic supervision.
- Utilizes all tools available to make timely analysis that facilitates the company's goals.
- Utilizes company computer programs designed to store, manage and track information and documents.
- Interprets legal documents and law firm work product and spot issues with the same. Resolves title related issues with guidance and applies company policy to the results.
- Under direction of manager or other Analysts, completes the following tasks: well clearing review, bonus payment review, turn in line review that results in a division order, due diligence review for deals, or review of specific title issues raised by landowners or internal customers.
- Expected in-office requirements once a quarter.
Required Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years' experience reviewing title or drafting title opinions.
- High proficiency with all MS Office applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with oil and gas title review and analysis within the company’s operating area.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related discipline preferred.
- Juris Doctorate preferred.
- 3+ years' experience reviewing title or drafting title opinions.
- Experience working within Salesforce.
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York unless willing to relocate.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
