Purpose
This position is responsible for repairing and mounting tires and minor repair work such as oil changes.
Responsibilities
- Repairing and mounting tires
- Minor repair work such as oil changes, etc.
- Providing excellent customer service
- Tire sizes range from utility vehicle to cars/pickups/trucks to Ag tires.
- Work is both in the shop and operating a mobile tire truck.
- Provide recommendation for sales of additional related or needed tire parts or accessories
- Assist in keeping department clean and orderly
- Routinely life items weighing 75 pounds
- This is position also involves managing the tire inventory and scheduling work and repairs, reporting to the store lead.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- Experience preferred
- Basic automotive knowledge
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience connecting with customers, maintaining a professional image, and establishing rapport
- Demonstrated basic understanding of the selling processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to drive a forklift for unloading and loading tires
- Valid Driver’s license with a medical card required for service vehicle
