MISSION:
Defines and validates a product model or an associated technology (tire or tire component, external and Internal geometry, materials, …) to satisfy needs of customer and internal partner while respecting the design rules (safety, Standard and Reg., …), applying the best practices, and complying to the Michelin quality system and associated constraints (Norms and Regs, etc.)
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Tire product specification which respect a specific requirement (in terms of performances, costs, timing, etc…), within a predefined framework such as design guide/rule.
- Technical studies (simulations, DOE, performance / industrial robustness demonstrator, etc…), taking into account capabilities and limits of available tools and methods.
- Proposals and evaluations of innovative solutions (product, methods, tools, etc...)
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
- 0–3 years of experience in design, development, or technical analysis.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g. CATIA), including geometry, assemblies, BOM, and technical drawings.
- Nice to have: Basic understanding of simulations or technical analysis (FEA, calculations, DOE, testing).
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to summarize study or test results clearly.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn and comply with Michelin quality standards.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).
- Able to work independently, handle pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Willing to be based in Cikarang, West Java.
