Network Engineer (Tier-3)
Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, Reading or Portsmouth (Hybrid: 2–3 days per week onsite)
Salary: £45k-£60k depending on experience + performance-based bonus + a comprehensive benefits package to support your family, finances, and wellbeing

We're seeking a Tier-3 Network Engineer to join our Operational Networking team. You’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining our mission-critical UK-wide data network, delivering robust services to commercial telecoms customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain and monitor national networks covering Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, SD-WAN, wireless, and firewall services.
Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for both LAN and WAN infrastructure.
Deliver Tier-3 technical support to the Neos NOC and customers, resolving complex issues.
Collaborate with Network Architects on network design and optimisation projects.
Work with Project Management teams on network builds and deployments.
Participate in an on-call support rota (after an initial onboarding period).
What You’ll Need
Essential Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and Nexus hardware (routers/switches).
Solid understanding of Layer 2 (Ethernet, VLANs, Spanning Tree).
Proven skills in Layer 3 (OSPF, BGP, subnetting, ACLs, VRFs).
Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
Capable of working independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
Desirable (but not required):
Exposure to Juniper platforms: QFX10k, QFX5k with VXLAN.
Cisco Wireless (WLC, Prime, Meraki).
Firewalls: Checkpoint, ASA, Juniper SRX.
SD-WAN solutions: Silver Peak troubleshooting.
Certifications: CCNP, CCSA.
