Main Purpose of Job
The role shall be primarily responsible for directing and controlling all accounting activities of the Finance Department thus ensuring accurate and efficient accounting services provided by all departments. Responsible for statutory reporting, tax compliance, budget and forecast preparation, accurate bookkeeping, debtors, credit management, and work together with Country GM and reporting monthly results to Area GM and Area FM. This position also involves strict compliance with the Financial Management guidelines set up by the company and local regulations and laws.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Reporting and Month-End Closing
•Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
•Ensure monthly submission and promotion of Hyperion data for the region.
•Ensure accuracy and completeness of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
•Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and financial commentary.
•Communicate well within the team and make sure internal deadlines and reporting/planning expectations are met.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Budget/Forecast Preparation
•In conjunction with GM, co-ordination and preparation of the annual budget and re-forecasting exercises and submission to corporate HQ, including the monthly forecasts. Co-ordination of the regional budget/forecast including liaison with regional operating companies to ensure timely and accurate submission. Preparation and submission of bi-monthly forecasts and weekly cash-flow forecasts, including consolidation of the region.
Audit, Tax, and Compliance
•Support statutory audit and tax submission processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
•Maintain proper documentation for audit trails.
•Assist with preparation of tax computation schedules and supporting documentation.
•Ensure compliance with Thailand tax regulation (Revenue Department).
Business Partnering
•Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Sales teams to align financial processes with business needs.
•Credit/Debt Management: In conjunction with operations monitor DA turnaround. Ensure outstanding debts are collected within terms and monitoring prefunding as per ISS policies. Management of the prefunding monitoring process to ensure compliance with company guidelines, approval of principal refunds.
Process Improvement
•Streamline finance workflows and implement efficient systems for reporting and control.
•Introduce best practices for cost management and resource optimization.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Essential:
•Advanced spreadsheets skills
•Thailand tax experience (liaising with Revenue Department)
•knowledge of Thailand accounting standards as well as statutory requirements so that compliance remains seamless.
•Quick self- learner
•Proactive, dynamic and innovative
•Fluent in English
•Experience working in a multi-national/international company
•Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•At least 5 years of experience within the accounting and finance field.
Desirable:
Experience in Ship and Port agency related field
Knowledge of UNIT4 accounting system
