Lumentum is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to work on Brazil R&D site. We are a group that develops innovation for Lumentum - we are driven to results, and we love technology!

This person will play a key role in the testing activities for product validation, reliability and qualification. In addition to working closely with the rest of the Test team, you will collaborate with other R&D engineering groups including hardware, firmware and optical packaging.

Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate testing activities for product validation, reliability and qualification.

• Lead activities to develop and provide jigs and fixtures for tests and pilot lines placed globally.

• Programming and automation for test systems, production equipment, traceability, and statistical data analysis.

• Analyze current technologies used within the company to support the development of processes and products.

• Critical analysis of testing results and problem solving for products and processes, including engineering debug and failure analysis for 8D reports.

• Handling and configuration of optical spectrum analyzer, optical switches, wavelength meter, climatic chambers, optical power meter, benchtop power supplies, electrical oscilloscopes.

• Global communication with developers, quality team, production team.

• Elaboration of process documentation and technical reports.

Skills requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences or related fields.

• Experience in product validation and qualification tests.

• Programming knowledge.

• Flexibility on learning from different areas and multidisciplinary project.

• Comfortable with team development and versioning tools (GIT).
