As a Vice President - Test Manager within the IPB Platform Modernization program, you will be at the helm of a team of around 10 testers, both automation and manual, dedicated to a 5 to 7-year initiative. Reporting to the Test Architect - PMOD and IPB testing projects, your role will be crucial in steering testing strategies, managing stakeholders, and facilitating digital transformation. Your strong understanding of banking, particularly investment banking, will be vital, along with your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately 10 testers, ensuring their work aligns with stakeholder priorities.
- Provide support and coaching to team members, helping them manage their functional areas and deliveries independently.
- Continuously assess and enhance the skills of team members to enable them to operate independently.
- Empower the team to work with technical and business partners to resolve testing issues.
- Actively engage in resolving test data-related issues alongside team members.
- Plan and oversee test design and execution to ensure readiness for test cycle releases.
- Provide timely and clear feedback to foster a high-performance team culture.
- Capture and share team success stories for rewards and recognition.
- Manage escalations and assist the team in raising risks and issues.
- Ensure test cases are ready for automation and support the modernization of the testing process.
- Develop standards for automation and generative AI tools to ensure future replicability.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in Software Testing and Project Management: Demonstrated experience in both software testing and managing projects, ideally in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of the banking industry, with a particular emphasis on investment banking.
- Proven leadership abilities and skills in managing a team effectively.
- Experience in planning and executing test strategies that align with project timelines.
- Knowledge of current testing tools and technologies, including automation solutions.
- Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within testing processes.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, especially in the context of testing and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Digital Transformation and Gen AI Tools: Experience in digital transformation initiatives and leveraging generative AI tools.
