ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Test Technician at Biofire, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating the performance of firearms, electronic hardware, and software while adhering to strict safety protocols, and documenting results with precision. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated to contribute to our testing department and help verify and validate product performance.

To succeed you will need to be able to meticulously execute test protocols and document the results. You will need to be a disciplined and orderly contributor, who is eager to evaluate Smart Gun product capabilities and features. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Conduct Product Tests: Perform daily tests of our Smart Gun system, including evaluating software and electronic hardware performance and durability, firearm accuracy, functionality, and reliability, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols;

  • Documentation and Reporting: Thoroughly document testing procedures, results, maintaining accurate records for analysis, traceability, and reporting to relevant stakeholders;

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols during all testing activities, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of firearms and ammunition to ensure a secure testing environment;

  • Troubleshooting: Address and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions identified during testing, applying problem-solving skills to determine root causes and proposing effective solutions to maintain testing integrity;

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and other stakeholders, communicating findings, progress, and any concerns to ensure a cohesive and informed approach to firearm testing.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The compensation range for this role is $25 - $35/hour + stock options + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

 

LOCATION

This is a full-time, hourly role that will require you to be on-site. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver.
This position will require overtime work to meet project deadlines. The ability to work beyond regular hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
