At DXC we pride ourselves on delivering excellence in everything we do. What this means for you is the opportunity to be a part of delivering innovative solutions and helping to solve real business problems for a wide variety of valued clients. Be a part of a strategic Microsoft partnership that provides you with opportunities to deepen your expertise and work at the cutting-edge of technology.
What you will be doing
• You’ll lead end to end testing across high impact initiatives that make a real difference.
• You’ll have the freedom to shape strategy, introduce smarter practices, and uplift quality culture across teams.
• You’ll guide and grow a talented team of testers and automation engineers.
• You’ll work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and pragmatic problem solving.
What Will Keep You Busy
Lead & Innovate
• Define and deliver a test strategy that aligns with program goals and accelerates delivery outcomes.
• Bring modern QA thinking — including shift‑left principles, early risk identification, quality engineering mindset, and support for emerging automation.
• Shape testing across platforms built in .NET and Power Platform / Dynamics 365, ensuring innovative, fit‑for‑purpose approaches.
• Guide the transition from a primarily manual testing environment to early-stage automation (Playwright exposure an advantage).
Drive Quality Execution
• Lead all test phases: functional, regression, integration, performance, UAT, and support for continuous testing within DevOps pipelines.
• Ensure high-quality delivery through strong test governance, clear traceability, structured documentation, and risk‑based prioritisation.
• Run effective defect triage, champion fast feedback loops, manage test scripts, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Oversee testing activities across local and offshore teams (Vietnam), navigating time zone and cultural differences.
Empower People
• Mentor, coach, and uplift a team of testers — ensuring people care, growth, and strong delivery habits.
• Manage team workloads, priorities, and performance to ensure consistent outcomes.
• Foster a culture where quality is shared, not siloed — embedding QA mindset across delivery teams.
Collaborate & Influence
• Work closely with project managers, architects, developers, and product owners to embed quality into every stage of the lifecycle.
• Communicate progress, risks, coverage, and insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Operate effectively within a hybrid working model, including 2 onsite days across DXC or client sites.
The skills you will bring
Must‑Have Experience
• Proven background as a Test Lead or Test Manager, including leading teams and delivering significant end‑to‑end projects.
• Strong understanding of modern testing practices, governance, and the full SDLC.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments, including using DevOps tools for code deployment, test execution, and work management.
• Ability to communicate technical detail clearly, influence decision-making, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Hands‑on understanding of both manual testing and early‑stage automation (Playwright exposure beneficial but not mandatory).
• Experience working across multi‑vendor or distributed teams, ideally with some enterprise or government exposure.
Nice to Have
• ISTQB certifications or equivalent test management qualifications.
• Experience supporting cloud ecosystems — especially Azure (preferred but not essential).
• Exposure to performance testing, test environment management, or supporting automation rollouts.
• Ability to support additional DXC accounts or short‑term internal assignments if needed.
Who You Are
• A natural leader who builds trust and lifts others up.
• A strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
• Calm under pressure, structured, organised, and excellent at prioritising.
• Passionate about process improvement and championing high‑quality outcomes.
• Flexible working with offshore teams and adaptable to cultural/time zone differences.
Education
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
