What you'll do:
- Provide thought leadership to strengthen ZS's offerings and expertise across validated (GxP/GAMP5-compliant) systems, with a strong emphasis on testing rigor, risk-based quality, and fit-for-purpose validation.
- Lead the design, implementation, and governance of GxP quality, validation, and testing frameworks, including QA/QC processes, test strategies, and compliance-aligned delivery models.
- Define and drive end-to-end testing strategies for validated systems, including:
- Risk-based and CSA-aligned test approaches
- Manual and automated testing strategies
- Test coverage, traceability, and quality metrics aligned to regulatory expectations
- Spearhead innovation in GxP Validation and Testing, with a focus on:
- Transitioning clients from CSV to CSA
- Eliminating redundant validation activities through smart test design
- Leveraging automation, intelligent documentation, and emerging AI/GenAI capabilities (good to have) to improve effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining compliance
- Partner closely with ZS R&D and Engineering leaders to embed quality engineering and validation-by-design into product and platform development.
- Support R&D Leadership in scaling the business through robust validation and testing strategies that balance compliance, speed, and product quality.
- Establish and drive high-level QA goals, test approaches, and quality metrics for scrum teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.
- Lead the growth and maturity of the Validation and Testing team, including:
- Upskilling team members in modern testing, automation, and CSA principles
- Educating CST and R&D teams on best practices in GxP-aligned testing
- Strategic hiring and expansion of vendor partnerships to ensure scalability and cost efficiency
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in testing and validation of software systems, preferably within the life sciences or regulated industries.
- Deep expertise in GxP regulations and standards, including FDA, EMA, ICH, GAMP5, CSA, ISO, with strong practical application experience.
- Strong foundation in software testing and quality engineering, including:
- Test strategy and test governance
- Risk-based and CSA-aligned testing
- Automation frameworks and test optimization
- (Good to have) Exposure to AI/GenAI-driven testing approaches
- Proven experience leading large-scale testing and validation programs across multiple stakeholders, platforms, and technologies.
- Strong understanding of modern testing and validation trends, such as CSA, automation-first validation, intelligent documentation, and quality metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, clients, and partners.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing validation and testing teams.
