The Role
Design, build, and maintain modular test platforms and automated data-acquisition systems for medical microrobotic devices. Integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components; develop test automation, logging, and characterization methods; support system integration, verification, and root-cause investigations while ensuring lab safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Summary Generated by Built In

Robeauté is redefining the future of brain therapies through the first microrobotic platform designed to navigate the human brain with unprecedented precision. This new generation of medical microrobots will be able to diagnose, treat, and monitor the brain from within, overcoming the persistent limitations in treating neurological diseases that affect more than one in three people worldwide.

Since its founding in 2017, Robeauté has filed more than 50 patent applications. We recently raised €27 million in a Series A round led by Plural, Cherry Ventures, Kindred Ventures, and Brainlab, fueling our next phase of growth.

As we continue to expand our organization, we are looking for a Test Infrastructure & Integration Engineer to own the design, development, and evolution of the engineering test infrastructure supporting our medical devices.

Working at the intersection of robotics, mechanics, electronics, embedded software, and systems engineering, you will develop the platforms that enable system integration, product characterization, design verification, and engineering investigations. Your work will directly contribute to improving product quality, accelerating development, and enabling reliable, data-driven engineering decisions.

  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering to translate system requirements into practical and measurable test solutions.
  • Troubleshoot multidisciplinary issues observed during system integration and contribute to root cause investigations.
  • Support engineering teams during critical integration campaigns and product development milestones.
  • Ensure test infrastructure meets safety, quality, and laboratory best practices.

Test Automation, Data Acquisition & Product Characterization

  • Develop automated test frameworks and interface with laboratory equipment through communication protocols.
  • Develop automated data acquisition, logging, and reporting solutions.
  • Improve testing repeatability while reducing manual operations and engineering cycle time.
  • Develop experimental methods to characterize the performance, robustness, and reliability of subsystems and complete devices.
  • Develop reusable test benches and laboratory tools that can be shared across multiple projects and product generations.
  • Contribute to the definition of acceptance criteria and performance metrics.

Laboratory Management & Documentation

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and engineering test platforms.
  • Coordinate equipment calibration and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Manage laboratory inventory related to testing infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve laboratory organization, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including: test infrastructure specifications, mechanical drawings of the test benches, assembly procedures of the testing setup, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and test methods.
  • Ensure test infrastructure and documentation are reliable, maintainable, and compliant with the Quality Management System and Design Control requirements throughout their lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate closely with Systems, Software, Electronics, Mechanical, Product, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams.
  • Support Verification & Validation activities by providing reliable and repeatable testing environments.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk analyses, system integration reviews, and engineering investigations.
  • Promote best practices in testing methodology, laboratory automation, and engineering measurement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across product development activities.
  • Drive the evolution of Robeauté's engineering laboratory and testing capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, repeatability, and engineering efficiency, and standardize testing methodologies across projects.
