The Test Engineering Lead manages the planning, development, and implementation of procedures for the testing and evaluation of standard and special devices. In this role, you are expected to lead TE activities for the program including managing interactions and alignments with the cross functional teams. Test Lead specifies tests to be performed, compiles data, and makes recommendations for changes required in testing equipment procedures, manufacturing processes, new testing requirements and/or design of testing equipment. You will also recommend the purchase of test equipment and select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and drive innovation in test to drive test cost to entitlement
- Optimize production test programs, including test time reduction activities, and yield Improvement
- Develop and drive TI technology for Design for Test (DFT), design verification, failure analysis and qualification of products
- Translate defect driven test suites to production test solutions that also validate spec performance
- Create and implement highly optimized tester agnostic& design centric test methods
- Analyze test data to thoroughly understand and resolve problems
- Present analysis and conclusions to internal customer teams in a comprehensive and effective manner
- Lead TE activities for the entire program including managing interactions and alignments with the cross functional teams
- Lead, coach, and train a team of product/test engineers to a higher level of performance and ability
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- 8-15 years of relevant experience
- Proven history of technical accomplishment, leadership, planning, coordinating, executing on multiple projects simultaneously for all silicon verification, characterization, qualification, capacity and test cost reduction activities
- Great breadth of test platform and test technologies
- Advanced level of understanding and use of Advantest and Teradyne/Eagle ATE
- Probe Burn-In stress application & testing methods experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Architectural model level understanding and familiarity with digital designs in TI (Verilog and VHDL designs
- Track record of innovation in the test methods resulting in elimination of Burn-In
- Willingness to learn new things even when it might not directly be related to the job role/responsibility
