Objective of the position

Help us build the test systems behind safer, smarter vehicles.

At Stoneridge in Örebro, our Production Engineering team makes sure every product that leaves the line performs exactly as it should. As our new Test Engineer, you'll own the test solutions for new product introductions — designing them from the ground up — and continuously sharpen the tests already running in production. Your work directly shapes the quality, reliability and efficiency of technologies that go into commercial vehicles around the world.

You'll report to the Production Engineering Manager and work alongside a hands-on, cross-functional team that values curiosity and ownership.

What you'll do

  • Design and build production test software, methods and equipment for both new products and existing lines.
  • Specify, procure, install and validate new test systems — and keep current ones running at their best.
  • Be the go-to expert for production teams when test challenges, product changes or process changes come up.
  • Build and evaluate prototypes, giving the development team clear feedback to improve quality and manufacturability.
  • Own the documentation — test procedures, verification and training that keep knowledge in the team.
  • Drive the numbers that matter: test yield, downtime and PPM, and support quotations and approval workflows.

What you bring

  • BSc/MSc in Electronics (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in test engineering, production or industrialization — automotive preferred.
  • Strong electronics fundamentals — you can read and create electrical schematics.
  • Experience with vision systems (Cognex VisionPro, AVT or similar).
  • Proficiency in graphical programming tools such as LabVIEW or Keysight VEE.
  • Solid grasp of statistics (Cpk, standard deviation); Six Sigma Green Belt is an advantage.
  • Professional level of Swedish and English.
  • Bonus skills: Minitab, C# and CAN protocols.

What we offer

  • You will be welcomed to a Fun, Diverse and Inclusive workplace, where we base our culture on our Core Values:  (Integrity, Customer orientation, Teamwork, Adaptability, Accountability and Social responsibility).
  • Opportunity for personal and professional growth in a fast‑growing, constantly evolving organization
  • A central role in shaping the future within a multinational automotive technology company focusing on safety and security
