Meet the Team
Silicon Labs’ Test Engineering team helps launch and scale our wireless IoT products into high-volume production. You’ll join a group of passionate engineers responsible for developing test programs and infrastructure that verify every chip we ship.
This is a great opportunity to develop deep technical skills in analog, RF, and digital test in a collaborative environment working with experienced mentors. You'll gain hands-on experience in test hardware, software automation, and production engineering.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing and debugging test programs on ATE platforms for new silicon products
Work with senior engineers to design load boards and interface hardware for production testing
Participate in silicon bring-up, validation, and test debugging
Analyze test data and assist in identifying outliers or issues during NPI and production ramp
Help maintain test documentation and automation scripts
Learn to work with cross-functional teams in design, product, and operations
Skills You Will Need
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Strong interest in semiconductor testing and hardware systems
Familiarity with basic electronic measurements and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)
Exposure to programming or scripting (e.g., C/C++, Python, or VBA)
Experience with Teradyne UltraFlex or similar Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
Exposure to analog IP test methodology
Exposure to or coursework in developing embedded firmware (e.g., in C/C++) for microcontroller-based systems used in test or validation environments
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
More than 2 years of experience in test engineering or a related field (internships and projects count)
The following qualifications will be considered as a plus:
Internship or academic projects involving hardware testing or embedded systems
Exposure to or coursework in digital testing methodologies, including scan, memory, and logic test concepts
Exposure to RF and wireless concepts
Knowledge of statistical data analysis or JMP
Hands-on experience with PCBs and debugging hardware
