Amentum is seeking a dedicated results-oriented individual to support NSWC Dahlgren H20.
Test Engineer Responsibilities:
Write and execute test cases that will exercise both the SQQ-89 system as well as its external interfaces including but not limited to AWS, VLS, TSP, and Radar
Document issues observed with SQQ-89 and its external interfaces with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce.
Review system documentation and requirements and provide technical input to the Systems Engineering team.
Review issues from the Fleet Support team and re-create the issue in the lab for further analysis.
Witness installing the SQQ-89 system ensuring the SVD is following and providing redlined changes as needed.
Work with the system Integrator's automated test team to design automated test scripts
Travel approximately 10% of the time
Work onsite at Lockheed Martin, Manassas VA
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with three (3) years of systems engineering or systems test experience for real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems or
- US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E6 level or higher with two (2) years of systems engineering or
- Five (5) years of systems engineering or systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Systems test experience for real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems
- Experience with performing test activities including developer/capability level testing, functional level testing (FQT/Verification and Validation), software/system integration testing, or AEGIS combat systems integration land-based testing.
- Using simulators in a test environment
