Test Engineer

LOCATION: Our office is in Minnetonka, MN. While we would prefer to have this position located in one of these areas, we are open to a remote candidate. If located in Minnesota, you will be required to work in the office 3-5 days per week.

Overview 

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled QA Engineer to join our Team. You will be responsible for developing and executing tests on our SaaS platform. This role will be working closely with the Product and Development teams to review and refine requirements and acceptance criteria throughout the planning process to improve development cycle time and produce high quality features.

What You Love To Do 

• Ensure high quality of software releases

• Design and execute effective test plans that include manual testing and automation testing

• Identify test scenarios (manual and automated), test cases, and test data to ensure maximum test coverage for features new and existing 

• Refine requirements and acceptance criteria with the Product team

Required Skills 

• Successful track record designing and executing effective test plans

• Ability to log comprehensive defects / bugs for Product / Development to understand

• Skilled at maintaining existing test suites 

• Experience leveraging existing automation tests as part of overall testing strategy 

• Prior experience analyzing business user needs and working with cross functional teams to refine requirements and create test scenarios

• Experience API Testing 

• Collaborative team player and excellent communication skills 

Additional Skills 

• Understanding of the current standards for accessibility i.e. (WCAG, AODA, etc.) and experience with a11y testing is a bonus 

• Experience with Performance and Load testing (BlazeMeter, JMeter, Load Runner, Neo Load etc.) is a bonus 

• Experience in automated test creation using Playwright or Cypress with Typescript/JavaScript is a bonus 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience 

• Minimum 3+ years working experience

• Must have experience in Manual Feature testing and regression testing

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision 

• Extensive experience in refining requirements and acceptance criteria with various team members

• Knowledge of QA software tools for test plan and defect management like TestRail and Jira 

• Any experience with AWS, Kafka, and Docker is a bonus
