Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with software engineers and product team to ensure the quality and reliability of our software components. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with software engineers to understand the design and implementation of software components, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements.
- Develop Test Plans: Create comprehensive test plans, and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Execute Tests: Plan and perform manual and automated testing of software components especially considering the maintainability and scalability, including unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Identify Defects: Detect, document, and track software defects, working with the development team to resolve issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and continuous improvement processes to enhance software quality.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, test results, and defect reports.
- Tools and Frameworks: Utilize and maintain testing tools and frameworks, ensuring they are up to date and effective.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that software components comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on test progress, test coverage, and defect status to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing or software development.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Eggplant, Cypress, or similar).
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP, UDP, ICMP) and network security protocols (TLS) and related tools (PuTTY, Wireshark).
- Experience with Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, Win; Architectures: Intel, ARM.
- Experience with Zephyr Jira Test Management
