Roles And Responsibilities

Junior - Senior levels required. Test software following a formal automated testing method using various telephony and networking hardware spanning multiple hardware platforms. Generate test cases based on defined requirements and product functionality. Perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts. Analyze large log data sets and software test data while documenting results in a clear and concise manner. Create test documents such as test plans, requirements verification traceability matrices, and test summary reports, and provide analysis of test procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI w FSP active and current in MD
  • 5+ years of experience with being a test engineer developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results in while performing system testing of complex systems
  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience with using and developing scripts in Python and creating regular expressions for searching data sets
  • Experience with integrating new and old technologies into existing network configurations and test beds
  • Experience with creating scenarios that support the creation of test cases and analysis of procedures
  • Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
  • Ability to develop, build, and test multiple lab environments using various telephony and networking hardware following formal testing methods
  • Ability to set priorities and rearrange schedules to address unexpected issues, and perform baseline, system, and regression level testing in support of research and development efforts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TE experience maybe substituted for a bachelor’s degree

    Additional Qualifications (nice to haves):

  • Knowledge of Jenkins or other Continuous Integration Frameworks
  • Knowledge of PyTest automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of SPLUNK
  • Knowledge of working in a Linux environment
  • Knowledge of working in an Agile environment

This position is 100% on-site.

Skills Required

  • Active and current TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph in Maryland
  • 5+ years of experience developing or executing test scripts and analyzing results during system testing of complex systems
  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience developing Python scripts and regular expressions for searching datasets
  • Experience integrating new and legacy technologies into network configurations and test beds
  • Experience creating scenarios that support test case development and procedure analysis
  • Ability to manage discrepancy reports identified during testing
  • Ability to develop, build, and test multiple laboratory environments using telephony and networking hardware
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust schedules to address unexpected issues
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline, or four additional years of test engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Jenkins or other continuous integration frameworks
  • Knowledge of PyTest automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of Splunk
  • Knowledge of Linux environments
  • Knowledge of Agile environments
