- Plans, coordinates, and perform tester engineering work for a project or process. This work includes change management and equipment maintenance administration. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers. Includes active participation in continuous improvement program as member of a business improvement team (BIT).
- Analyzes and makes modifications to existing test equipment inventory and tester vector strategy.
- Establishes routing, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation and quality plans for revisions to current tester operations for existent and/or new parts or programs.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting for current tester operations – according to escalation path. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
- Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas.
- Leads team studies related to yield, downtime, capacity and energy.
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new test manufacturing processes and technology.
- Maintenance and special projects budget administration (fixed assets and expenses).
