About the Role
This role contains the technical set-up of hardware, and then execution and maintenance of the testcases/testruns/testsuites assigned to the Verification and Validation Team as part of different Automotive projects.
It also has a distinct component of Scripting/Automation, based on Linux and Python.
The role further includes the HW/SW continuous configuring and upgrading, management and maintenance of the required test equipment.
The testing team will be co-located: parts of the team are in Bucharest at the Harman location, other team-members are potentially in other locations like Poland, India, Germany, Hungary, China, Japan.
Your position in the Team
This role will report to the AES RO Leader.
What You Will Do
Setup the different equipments/ECU’s at the test rig or in the vehicle
Perform efficient testing for the Harman Automotive projects, most of them related to Infotainment and Telematics. Execute test cases at the test rig or in the vehicle
Support the planning of all test activities
Understand the functional requirements associated with the project
Analyze and track test results, issues and bug fixes throughout the testing process and report them in the project tools
Work in close contact with the development teams
Track and evaluate the test sprints
Escalate high priority issues to the Project Management team
Support the SW readiness review process
Configure and maintain the necessary HW/SW test infrastructures needed for Infotainment/Telematics projects
Update and/or develop additional test cases, AUTOMATED AND MANUAL, based on the project specifications and test results, review and execute them
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
More than 5 years of experience with Automotive SW Testing or Automotive systems
Knowledge of LINUX and Python
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification. ISTQB Advanced Level is a plus
Knowledge of SW Testing methodologies and when certain strategies are recommended
Experience in test environment setup, test case development and execution
Good knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like OTA, GNSS, E-Call and Infotainment domains like Navigation, Phone, Projection, Media, Tuner, Bluetooth
Experience in working with automotive tools like CANoe
Good knowledge of analyzing and tracing SW
Team player, good communication skills
Fluent English language skill is mandatory. Good German knowledge is a benefit.
Bonus Points if You Have
Good knowledge of JIRA is a benefit
Knowledge of ASPICE or similar quality systems is a plus
